Full Moon Sacred Circle & Shamanic Drumming Journey with SUN SISTA

Full Moon Medicine Drumming Circle

Releasing the Old Skin

We gather as the divine feminine and masculine energies, in a safe, open, and deeply held space. This is a sacred circle where real conversation happens. Where the masks come off and the performance stops.

This is a calling to shed what you have outgrown. Under the Buck Moon, at its fullest and most illuminating, we come together to name the old skin we have been dragging behind us. The identities, the roles, the ancestral patterns that were never fully ours to carry. What have you kept wearing simply because it’s familiar? What would it feel like to finally set it down?

We open seated together in circle with ceremonial tea. Where cacao softens the heart, this tea wakes the body. It warms the blood and readies us for movement, for voice, for release. We will sit with it and set our intention for what we are here to shed.

As the circle opens fully, we rise into shamanic drumming, a call and response journey held by shamanic medicine drums, rattles, and voice. This is not a performance and there is nothing to get right. The drum moves through the body faster than thought. It has been used for thousands of years across every culture on earth to break trance, move stuck energy, and call the body back into its own rhythm and power.

Drumming works on a level words can’t reach. A sustained rhythmic beat entrains the brain toward theta states, the same threshold state found in trance and deep meditation, where old patterns loosen their grip and the nervous system finally has permission to discharge what it’s been holding. Research on rhythmic drumming points to real drops in cortisol and real shifts toward parasympathetic calm, but the medicine of it isn’t just physiological. It’s ancestral. Drumming circles have been the way humans have processed grief, rage, fear, and transition since before language.

When the drumbeat meets the emotional openness of the circle, the body often releases what it has been carrying far longer than we realise. People describe shaking, crying, laughing, roaring, going still, or feeling something ancient move through them that they don’t have words for. Whatever comes up is welcome. It is all part of the shedding.

Please bring a yoga mat or something to sit on, a journal and pen, water, and wear clothing you can move freely in. If you feel called, bring your own rattle, drum, or a small item that represents what you are ready to release. We’ll have a moment in the circle to acknowledge it.

This circle is open to all. Wherever you are on the path, whatever skin you are ready to shed, you are welcome here exactly as you are.

With love,
SUN SISTA 🌙
